This is a family run business with owners Brian and Janet Thomson in residence to serve their guests and customers. The Barn Hotel is situated in the pretty and rural village of Hutton-Le-Hole, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, popular with walkers and those seeking the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. It is close to Kirkbymoorside, a pleasant market town and Pickering, home to the North York Moors Steam Railway. The Yorkshire Dales are only an hour away and the coast is even less. Herriot and Heartbeat country are also within easy distance.

Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough are all within the hour.

Hutton-Le-Hole is an attractive Yorkshire village with craft workshops and even has its own chocolate factory. It is also home to the Ryedale Folk Museum.

This 19th century converted stone barn has been tastefully renovated to a high standard with six individual bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. There is a choice of double and twin bedded rooms and a large two bedroomed family suite with a double room and adjoining it, a three single bedded room. There is a guest lounge with a roaring fire (when needed) where residents can relax after a hard day enjoying the region. All rooms have a TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel has a no smoking policy for the benefit of residents.

The hotel is noted for its Sunday lunches, serving the best of fresh, local Yorkshire produce. There are two roasts, topside of roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and roast chicken; both are served with three fresh vegetables. The hotel has a table and residents’ licence and serves wines and beers to accompany your meal.
